ATTORNEYS RECEIVE PRO BONO PINS FROM
CHIEF JUSTICE BARBARA PARIENTE
The Florida Supreme Court, the Florida Pro Bono Coordinators Association, and local organized pro bono programs have teamed together to provide a new annual recognition for volunteer attorneys. Beginning this year Chief Justice Barbara Pariente will recognize attorneys who participate through an organized pro bono program and contribute over 20 hours, based on cases closed or projects completed in 2004. Pins for contribution of 20 to 49 hours are Bronze level, for 50 to 99 hours are Silver level, and for 100 or more hours are Gold level. The pins were paid for by the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar. A letter from Chief Justice Pariente and the individual pin were presented to local attorneys who participated in the Legal Aid pro bono programs and contributed over 20 hours in 2004.
