Resources for Legal Aid Advocates - Resources for Defender Programs -
Training Events - News From the Field
As legal aid and defender programs and their clients deal with the challenges that Hurricane Katrina has wreaked upon them, information and guidance will be needed at nearly every turn. To respond to this need for a centralized portal of information, national partners including the National Legal Aid & Defender Association (NLADA), the Legal Services Corporation (LSC), ProBono.net and the American Bar Association (ABA), have combined their resources to provide as much information about disaster relief -- for both advocates and clients -- as possible.
The resources and links provided on this site were compiled from programs across the country, just as the task of responding to the legal needs of victims of this national disaster will not be borne by any one program. We encourage you to use this site to post news about legal services (civil and defender) programs and disaster relief materials you think would be beneficial to legal services advocates and clients. Alternatively, you can send news and resources to communications@nlada.org.
