Programs: Pro Bono Net has built a web platform that offers powerful and sophisticated web based tools that support pro bono and legal aid advocates, and provides critical legal information and assistance directly to the low-income public. By partnering with public interest legal organizations, Pro Bono Net leverages the community’s limited resources into dynamic, database-driven web sites that help to address the wide gap between the need for crucial legal services and their availability to the poor. Pro Bono Net currently supports two major programs in use throughout the country:

www.probono.net: Probono.net is an online resource for legal advocates, including legal services and pro bono attorneys, law professors and students, and other social services advocates across the country. The site provides online support and resources to its members, including news, calendars of trainings and events, volunteer opportunities, member-driven listservs, and online libraries of training manuals, model pleadings, and other practice materials. These tools enrich and facilitate the pro bono experience, encouraging greater participation through in-depth support and rapid communication with host organizations and other volunteers.

www.LawHelp.org: Public interest and legal aid programs in nearly 30 regions are using the LawHelp site to create integrated, statewide access to legal information for the general public. Each web site offers referrals to local legal aid and public interest law offices, basic information about legal rights, self-help information, court information, links to social service agencies, and more.
