Alex Sink to Lenders: Time's a-wasting

"Time is a-wasting," Sink said, noting that there's a torrent of Floridians getting behind on their home loans and often going into foreclosure - often without finding out if something can be done.
The lawyers in the Florida Attorneys Saving Homes program (FASH) said that often it's difficult even to reach the right person with whom to negotiate.
Kent Spuhler, executive director of Florida Rural Legal Services, which represents low-income people, said attorneys working free for distressed homeowners gather information on their clients' cases but that "Sometimes we can translate that to who's the real lenders, sometimes not."
